The ability to drive safely (at a safe speed, even) through villages without hitting a traffic island or scraping the sump or dissing one's suspension.
I also think that people are more pushy, more wary and less friendly than they were 20 years ago. The state is more 'gimme-gimme-gimme' and that changes people's personal attitude.
20 years ago I would never have thought of chatting to complete strangers (and making good friends) from across the world, though - except as pen-friends by letter which might take weeks between each exchange.
(20 years ago I was in my mid 40's and felt like I was in my mid 20's; today I feel maybe mid 30's! I do have an increased tendency to exclaim "I don't belieeve it!", though.)

youth culture, and we are going full circle..
kids were used for work, chimneys, coal mines. street traders, slaves, servants, (going back more than 20 years) they then had Rights, given education a childhood, they matured through phases of life- teenagers rebelled, child rights, now they are expected to be mini adults again working as soon as they can if education is not an option, having children while children, they seem to have skipped out on childhood, you see 10 year old hanging with 14 year old..they have again lost their identity- their role, their childhood?

Global travel for one thing, used to be only for the rich or those in well paid jobs.
Consumer goods, (everything is Pre-packaged, pre-cooked or disposable).
Dining out/Take-aways. Used to be only for special occasions, now it's an everyday thing for a lot of people.
All of the above contribute to Global Warming, the quality of our air and the great mountains of waste we pollute our earth with.
