The "good old days" is a concept shrouded in myth but generally refers to an earlier time in our lives when things were "better". However, human memory is a lot more - uh - selectively creative than we may assume. If we conclude that our childhood was the absolute best time ever, then anything that follows can't compare favourably. So, we ignore any "good times" we have in our later years, conclude that life sucks presently and bemoan the loss of the "good old days".
Essentially, the "good old days" is a mental construct and really a form of distraction.

Whatever age you are now and you tend to look back on your past and remember all those funs you have and all the blessing you have recieved that is what you call "The good old days." Usually you say this phrase if at the present you are sad and facing difficulties you remember the good old days.

You mean when WERE the good old days.
This is a term which represents better days gone by in our lives before it became too difficult to enjoy life because of the high cost of education, food and other luxuries that make life bearable and pleasant.
The "good old days" for you....are now...because as you grow older you will find that life for you now is much simpler and uncomplicated compared to how it will be in your future.

Long enough ago that you have forgotten all the bad parts so that everything seems to have been simpler then.

They are in your early years, you will notice them as soon as senility kicks in and you can't remember the bad things anymore.
