Never too late to learn. My fiance has been playing guitar off and on for the past twenty years, and there is still a lot to learn. It is a great instrument, and something you will enjoy more and more, especially when you get older. And don't worry about those 9yr old kids, everybody learns at a different pace. Plus if you can learn at school for free.... do it! Guitar lessons are expensive, one on one guitar sessions can cost around $100/ hour.

So if you are interested in guitar, go for it! You have nothing to lose, and a whole lot to gain!

Its never too late. Mmmmm... I would say "Better late than never". Even if u r freakin 99 years old n if u have that luv inside ur heart to take that guitar n play it.... it isn't late. N dude, Music is like a sea. U can c 9year olds palyin awesome riffs n leads. But u can't jus say that they have learnt evrythin. If u ever happened to ask Dimebag whether he learnt everythin in guitar he'd have proll'y said "NO". Cos learnin is a continuing process. Over the days of ur learnin u'll develop ur own style which would b better than others. As long as u have the passion to do somethin, U would make it to the top someday. N always remember.... Don't try to learn anythin to impress chics.... Cos that would never help. All that matters is ur luv for the music..... not the music for ur luv (for babes).

Music is something that you are NEVER too old for. The guitar is a pretty easy instrument and anyone can play it if they put their mind to it. Just learn how to read tabs and teach yourself! Its cheaper and more fun and you will get good really quickly if you practise loads, I promise! Good luck!

It's not too late. I'm in my thirties and am thinking about learning guitar. Who cares if there are 9 year old prodigies - it's like that with everything! Follow your heart and do it for you, no one else.

i started when i was 15 (2.5 years ago), self taught and i could outplay anyone i knew, even a mate who did lessons for 5 years, it depends how badly you wanna learn it.. once you get the basic stuff worked out it's all downhill really
