Could anyone direct me to a source of information to help me learn how to do this? I want to address envelopes to all the members of a club. I've tried Microsoft help, but to no avail! Thank you.

The method may be slightly different in different versions of windows but i will try to explain here with reference to XP professional and you should be able to manage it. First create a database in excel with the names, addresses of all members and remember to give headings to each column as 'first name', 'last name', 'address', 'city'...Save the file.

Next, open a Word document. Go to Tools menu- Letters and Mailings-Mail Merge. New window opens...select type of document as "envelops" and click Next. Select size of envelop, click Next. Select "use an existing list" ..and browse and select ur excel file. Once database is selected, Select layout of envelope..next, go to preview, if satisfied, simply give prints !!

Try using MS Word. Under tools go to Letters and Mailings and choose mail merge. When it opens, choose labels. It will ask you for a list and you can direct it to use a table from your database with the names and addresses of your members.

It's not too difficult. I use it all the time. Just follow the prompts and you should be fine.

Try telling people which program you are using, its impossible to tell without more information. If you havent chosen a program to use yet then say that...there are loads of programs with mail merge in...good luck!
