:
1. Figure out what is important to you in life. For example: Do you value a certain kind of job, material things, a relationship, time alone, time with others, time to relax, time to be creative, time to read, time to listen to music, time to have fun? These are just a few of the possibilities.
2. Think about times when you have felt happy, good or content. Where were you? Who were you with? What were you doing, thinking or feeling that made you feel happy?
3. Decide to make more time in your life to do more of what is important to you and makes you feel happier. To be happy, you have to make happiness a priority in your life.
4. Start with little things and work up to bigger ones. Little things might be reading for 15 minutes; taking a walk; calling a friend; or buying great-smelling soap, shampoo, candles or tea that you will enjoy every time you use it.
5. Focus on what is positive about yourself, others and life in general instead of dwelling on the negative. In a journal, write down as many positive things as you can think of. Keep it handy to read over, and continue adding to it.
6. Appreciate what is working in your life right now. In the major areas of your life, such as your health, job, love life, friends, family , money and living situation, what is going well?

I believe that in order to become a happy person, you must be true to yourself. You should get to know yourself first. You must know what makes you - you. It may involve a lot of soul searching. After that you must be ready to live a life that would make you express your true self (of course within the limits of the law or morality, which is actually relative to where you reside or live in, in this world). Only then will you be a happy person because you will act according to your natural tendencies. The idea is pretty much the same with a job. You should find a job that expresses yourself or wherein you will find fulfillment or meaning. Otherwise, you may not stay long with the job or if you do stay with your job, it may not be a happy and fulfilling one. Hope this helps. Good day.

It is all a matter of Perspective.
1. You can always think of a glass as being Half Empty or Half Full.
2. You can complain that Roses have Thorns or Be thankful that Thorns have Roses.
3. A Pessimist sees Difficulties in a Every Opportunity. An Optimist sees Opportunities in Every Difficulty.
Decide which side you want to be and cultivate that habit in your everyday life.

Read "The Problems of Work" by L Ron Hubbard. It helped me learn to be happy with my job, and taught me a lot about life too!

it's all about what you put into it, rather than what you get out of it that makes you happy or unhappy.
