Morally speaking, obviously not.
That being said, I don't know what's going on so it would be very foolish of me to judge but think about this:
1) Are you ready to be second fiddle for that somebody? If so, why? Is he worth giving your heart and life to, even if it means that he can't give you his full heart and attention?
2) Are you ready for the possibility that there might be a 3rd or even 4th person in the mix later on because as much as we'd like to believe it won't happen, if he can do that to his wife, he might just do that to you if there's a strain in the relationship.
3) Are you provided for? In the event of his death, what happens to you and your future child(ren) ?
4) Can you handle the wife and her child(ren) knowing about this? Remember when you decide to commit to someone, the family must be considered. You can hide it for days, months, maybe even years, but sooner or later, someone is likely to know.
All in all, you can see the reasons why it's generally not encouraged. Understandably, there are things about the man that have touched your heart or attracted you to him but who's to say that there won't be someone else with those qualities? It won't be him, granted, but at least the relationship has a chance of stability. Without a strong foundation, a house cannot stand.
Whatever your decision, all the best with your life.

....this question is highly distressing to my self righteous soul.
My lecturer at my alma mater sort of wanted to turn me into a mistress , though he had another chick under his keeping.
i kicked his manlihood a** and the scumbag never saw it coming!, And he never really recovered..........he sorta went through a mini nervous breakdown!

I would not be second choice in an intimate relationship.
Self worth should fit in there somewhere.
Love yourself enough to be a better person, than to let others exploit you.
Good Luck to you and God Bless.

i dont think you should be someones mistress. i know of someone who is dating a top man in society - a married man. she herself is frustrated in life so you can imagine. if you are a mistress, you are digging your own grave because someone will also be a mistress to your husband one day.

That's called playing second fiddle.
If it's okay with him, her and you, it's okay with me.

I guess it depends if you want to never have a meaningful relationship with him and just want the sex.
