She was named as "One to Watch" in several magazines after she appeared in "28 Days Later" back in 2002. Prior to that she had several TV roles, but nothing noteworthy.
After that she appeared in the movies "After Sunset" and "Trauma", neither of with fared very well at the box office. She also bit roles on TV show "Dinatopia".
It was not until her current round of movie that her career started picking up momentum again. In addition to Pirates of the Caribbean 2 and Tristram Shandy, she currently also appears in Miami Vice as Trudy Joplin. Upcoming roles are in 28 Weeks Later, Pirates of the Caribbean 3.
I would say she is definitely back on the "One To Watch" list and she is getting to a point where she needs to be picky in her selection of future roles that showcase her talent will be crucial to her chances of winning any awards in the future. Even if she does not win any awards, I can see her having a long career in the industry due to her onscreen poise and presence.
