Oh wait I know, he was written in as a heel. I am surprised at the lack of respect alot of wrestling fans are giving Edge. Look at his past, he was in the first TLC matches and that should get him respect right away.
I know why you dont respect him, because he cheats to win against Cena, but didn't Cena cheat to win the U.S. Championship at Wrestlemania 20?
Many people will attack me with Edge sucks and Cena rules answers, but instead of telling me about how he cheats to win and how he has a "whore" as a valet how about one of you guys gives me a genuine reason for disliking the man?

TLC stands for a Tables Ladders and Chairs match. In these matches there is a belt(for single title matches) or two belts(for tag team matches) suspended above the ring. The winner has to climb a ladder to get the title(s)

Because the fickle new wrestling fans these days can't remember past the last 6 months of history. Edge has been a loyal servant of the WWE for many years and has finally, after putting his body through all sorts of hell, received the push for the main belt that has been long overdue. If you mean why people hate him in terms of his wrestling character then that really shows exactly how well his character gets across with the people and how well as a wrestler he plays on the emotions and reactions of the crowd. Also having a backstabbing side-kick in Lita really helps him "get over" that little bit more because people love to hate her too. That used to be the way with HHH but he became too big headed and started to get loads of cheers from fans who didn't know whether he was a heel or face ... don't even think HHH knows any more. For me Edge is the Ultimate heel persona : aggressive, threatening, arrogant, ignorant, a hoooooo on his arm and all round very sneaky.

people dislike edge because he is a bad guy wrestling is all done to a script even when he was with cristian i think they were tag champions 8 or 9 times and now wwe champ 2 times already he will be around for at least another 10 or so years just like hogan and the rock before him who went from good to bad sooner or later edge will become a good guy like you see every week all you have to do is say you hate or love the city they are performing in and hey a good or bad guy is born

You answered it yourself. Wrestling is scripted, and the fans come to cheer for the good guys and boo the bad guys. Now some will differ, but in general this is true. Wrestling fans liking someone has nothing to do with respect for a career, because that entire career was scripted, not earned.

I don't hate him. I think a lot of people are against him cause he cheated on his wife or whatever with Lita and Matt Hardy was supposed to be his best friend but that's no reason to hate him. No one knows what exactly went on there and it's not right to judge. I don't understand why people like Cena so much.

i think edge is an awesome wrestler! i really dont think that the dislike towards him has anything to do with his in-ring ability or his impressive career...its just that right now he is the 'bad guy' and so is getting the reception that a heel is supposed to...but dont forget that he is the most watched champion in the last 5 years! he's obviously doing something right!

Well its because of the whole "babyface"(means good guy in wrestling terms) image that Cena has. Edge is too cocky. He thinks the world revolves around him and that darn title. But of course how much fun would it be to watch wrestling if you didnt have a bad guy who thinks hes on his high horse. I use to love Edge....until he became "Rated-R Superstar" It throws off his whole wrestling abilitys when he uses that name. lol.

he's got a good persona and he gets heat from the fans since he's with Lita screwing Matt Hardy. I think it's great!! Don 't you think. He also got a big push because of that.

i somewhat imagine it relies upon on whos on-line once you ask your question. yet I completely accept as true with you....everyone appears to be like getting meaner and meaner. they imagine they're humorous at the same time as they do this.
