is that person seriously preaching to me? wow - pity that for most folks god and anal go hand in hand. I suppose I shouldn't tell him I'm actually a minister. He'll probably judge me as being too liberal to save souls - hehe :)

While you say Stairway to Heaven is overrated, I must agree with you, and as big of a Zeppelin fan as I am, that song really sucks. But while on that note if you take the answers above, Kashmir is also really really overatted and I don't think half these people know the first thing about Led Zeppelin. Well anyway in my opinion there best songs are Going to California and my favorite-
Over the Hills and Far Away, listen to it, it's great.

Definitely When the Levee Breaks, Trampled Underfoot is a good one too. There's too many good ones.
Since when did a rock band need a number one hit in America to verify it was a great band? As far as I knew the rock world would rather avoid having number one hits to keep from becoming too mainstream. Some artists have a number one hit then you never hear from them again.

I spent all of my teenage years listening to Led Zep and there's nothing wrong with Stairway to Heaven! Just because I like it doesn't mean I haven't experienced more of their music. Anyway I was a Black Sabbath/Richie Blackmore girl. Dio might have been a dwarf but my god he could sing and Ozzy, well he's just Ozzy!!

None! I can't stomach Led Zepplin, and anyone who thinks they were the epitamy of rock! Yeah, they are so great, they never had a number one song in America, so I guess I'm not the only one who thinks this way!

frankly, Stairway to Heaven may well be the single most overrated and overplayed rock song ever...my favorite Led Zep song (and I am not a fan, to be honest) has to be Rock 'n' Roll...at least they let go with little or no pretense...just straight out balls to the wall rock...turn it up till your walls shake and tell me I'm wrong...
