There's no chance. Why have a box for black/white race and no boxes for all the other many many combinations of two races?
Also, it should be encouraged to just remove that question from everything as it serves no useful purpose at all. Race doesn't matter so don't ask it.
I don't think you should care so much but my advice would be to either select other if that's an option or don't select any.

I have only met a few people who were pure in race and they were boring. Being American is being multi-racial and the "selection boxes" will soon reflect that. There are many reasons for things being the way they are, however they can be the way we prefer by making choices that support our beliefs. I believe our country is about Love and Acceptance of all things and all people.

The 1/16th rule is from the Jim-Crow era. It's based on racism We got rid of the separate drinking fountains, separate bathrooms, etc. Why not get rid of this?
I see no reason for the 1/16th rule. Why does it only apply to blacks? Most people that's 1/4th asian and 3/4th white or 1/4th latino and 3/4th white are considered white (depending on how their physical traits play out).

You asked was there any chance "they" will consider your "mixed race" a race all its own. First, who is "they"? Secondly, please tell me about your race that you want to be considered? What is the name of your race? What are the contributions of your race to the world? Where does your race originally come from? Where is your original continent? Country? What is your race's customs and beliefs? Religion?
Lastly, you often select white as well as Black when asked. Do whites ever select you??

I've got news for you buddy, most people that have lived in America and most parts of the world are biracial. I am German, Irish, English, French, and my kids are Spanish and Philippino on top of that. I look Italian/Armenian. It is sad we even separate people by race in the first place. Just put other if you believe you are discriminated against. We are all a part of the human race. I apologize sincerely if ignorant people make you feel different. Both works for me too =>

I would just select as many as I feel like. The 1/16th rule is a ridiculous joke and a slap in the face. As for Mixed being its own race, I think that it won't be an effective category since there can be a wide variety (Latino/Asian; Black/Native American, etc.)
Sooo... just select as many as you feel like and in the area where they say choose one, write "WHY?!?!" or "I don't know which one to choose."
Good luck!

Hopefully, by the end of this century we will all mingle & just be labeled 'Humans'. In the mean time, I think you would have to check the 'Other' box.

I happened to have been born white, but I see no need what so ever to have to write on any paperwork what color we are. WHY DOES IT MATTER? BLACK, WHITE, GREEN, PURPLE, Why WHO CARES?
I think it is about time to leave that information off of all of our paperwork.
To me we are all equal, therefore we in no need for our color to be listed.
