If whatever you say & do are in in consonance with your conscience, you know that you are you. You can fool everyone else but your conscience. You are somebody else if when you look in the mirror you are ashamed of what you see in your eyes...may be you've changed, you've become someone else - if the change is for the good you shouldn't have a problem accepting and recognising yourself

Get an old photo of yourself (not too old) stand in front of a mirror and hold up the photo.
Do the two images look the same?
If so, then yes, you are you.
