You may only have moments…but they are all you have.
In each moment, I think of you and try not to feel sad.
I remember our good times…and the not so great
But mostly I’ll remember you are first rate.
Your spirit is challenged and your soul understands
That Love is all that matters; and I will lend a hand
To help fill your moments with love and peace
Until it is time for you to go to sleep.
You are always in my heart and thoughts.
These things are special, and cannot be bought.
I hope you like it...I was touched by your love and concern for your aunt...and wrote it just now...just for you...to give to her.

Very sorry to hear about you Auntie. Why not make a card up with a favourite photo or a collection of photos, or you could make it with photos from magazines, maybe with photos of a holiday destination that the family could go to when she is better? I think some personal message in the card would work just as well as a poem. Also some hospitals are now being funny about flowers, so why not get one of those bright helium balloons, then the whole ward can get some pleasure from it. Best wishes to you and your Aunt.

I just typed in a search engine Cancer Poem and there are 300000 available the website I took most time in was the following:
www.boydsilverworks.com/breast_cancer_poem.html
Hope this helps, but the best kind of poem you could create is one from the heart, one from you....
As a individual who has personally lost several members of my immediate family to various forms of cancer in the past six years and about to lose my sister and mother-in-law to breast and lung cancer please note "Time is a great healer!"

can't argue with admyr75, make it something personal from you, something that she can appreciate for the effort you put in, demonstrating your love, affection and good wishes.
its all to easy to reach for an off the shelf card with some trite message in, or include one of the 'classic' poems, but finally what it comes down to is a message form you to her, its personal, why let someone elses ideas and images interfere with that meesage
try to write somthing that is personal to the two of you, it will mean much more to both of you. It doesn't need to be a poem.

First I suggest making it yourself. Just makes it more personal.
How about a song from James Blunt. I think he has some really touching songs.
Here are the Lyrics to James blunt "Tears and Rain"
P.S I wish your Aunt to get well really soon.
How I wish I could surrender my soul;
Shed the clothes that become my skin;
See the liar that burns within my needing.
How I wish I'd chosen darkness from cold.
How I wish I had screamed out loud,
Instead I've found no meaning.
I guess it's time I run far, far away; find comfort in pain,
All pleasure's the same: it just keeps me from trouble.
Hides my true shape, like Dorian Gray.
I've heard what they say, but I'm not here for trouble.
It's more than just words: it's just tears and rain.
How I wish I could walk through the doors of my mind;
Hold memory close at hand,
Help me understand the years.
How I wish I could choose between Heaven and Hell.
How I wish I would save my soul.
I'm so cold from fear.
I guess it's time I run far, far away; find comfort in pain,
All pleasure's the same: it just keeps me from trouble.
Hides my true shape, like Dorian Gray.
I've heard what they say, but I'm not here for trouble.
Far, far away; find comfort in pain.
All pleasure's the same: it just keeps me from trouble.
It's more than just words: it's just tears and rain.

Go to the end of the path until you get to the gate.
Go through the gate and head straight out towards the horizon.
Keep going towards the horizon.
Sit down and have a rest every now and again, But keep on going, just keep on with it.
Keep on going as far as you can.
That's how you get there

Whatever you write in a card or say to her make sure its from the heart. Try to be there for her and the rest of the family too, you should all support each other.
Just show her you care and love her.

send her a card with no message in at all , you make one and on the front perhaps some angels but not too over the top , just pretty and reassuring .
i cant help with the poem as I'm not good at that stuff ...
keep your chin up and enjoy her company while you can .
thinking of you ...

Radiation and Chemo to
But I'll still be there for you,
Even when you lose your hair
I'll be around to show I care,
Please don't die of this cancer

your aunt is suffering from cancer, and all you want to do is give her a card? try something from the heart and give a lot of thought into it. she's suffering through a lot of pain, so it will have to be impressive to take away from that.
