Going up the coast would be fun making stops in places such as Florence, Newport, Lincoln City, Tillamook, Seaside and maybe stopping by Portland. You can make the trip in about two days, we've done that many times, but it would be fun to travel up slowly and hit some of the fun towns along the way :)

Wow, that's the scenic route. The best way to go, I might add. Let's see there are the many beautiful beaches from La, on up, there is the redwoods in northern calif., you can even stop around the bay area, the beaches of Washington, are pretty cool, like Long Beach, Olympia is our state capitol. You'll see that from the freeway if you cross over to I-5.

Is this La as in Lousiana, or LA as in the city? LA is an easy 2 day trip. Lousiana is quite a bit longer

I just came back from a week-long trip to seattle. I drove there from S.F. to seattle in over a day. Try making some stops in Oregon and take advantage of their no tax.

It'll take you about 2 full days to get up there and other 2 days to come back. You'll need more time.
