Chill Sarge. Really. I think love isn't held by physical bounds. Someone else said it well in another post-something like two souls find each other, and don't care what the bodies are like? Correct me if you said that. I think it should be legal, but like all things different, it will take time. Until then, I'll keep fighting. I'm not gay, but I don't see much difference between me and someone who is.

Eh, I think everyone thinks about their wedding day when young. For me, I always figured we'd find a good lesbian couple, and all four of us would be awesome friends, and then we'd just absolutely PROMISE to give all our spousal rights to the opposite sex. Ie, we all have a legal "heterosexual" marriage, but then just go on like normal with our true partners (except maybe in like a 2 family house or something), and when any issues of the legal rights come up, we ask the appropriate person what they want to have done. Y'know what a real solution to gay marriage being legal would be? Equity.
What that means is that the only way a "civil union" compromise is acceptable is if the government stops the business of marrying anyone. Leave the word "marriage" behind completely, and let it be a religious word instead of referring to 3 different things like it does now. If ALL couples have civil unions (and if some want to get married in church, that's cool too) then fine. But having marriage on the books while giving another group of people civil unions is, by definition, "seperate but equal" which is NEVER equal.

Being homosexual isn't bad. The heart wants what it wants and besides there's nothing wrong with gay people. oin fact, i find that they're much more polite and clean than most people i know. I'm not gay, but there's no difference between me and someone that is. I mean we're both human, want to just be ourselves without being judged,we live on the same planet..people need to really focus on what really matters and not physical bonds. Love is in the heart, soul, and mind of the one that feels it, not just the body.
Besides i find that i'd love to live with a gay man than a stright one. I mean, they're a lot cleaner, good at listening, and they're trustworthy and they're not boring^_^
I think that gay marriage should be legal.
No one on this earth really has any right to govern love in any way and if they've ever been in love then they should know that it knows no bounds and should never be restricted by anything, especially apperance!!!!
Sarge, you suck!!!! YOu closed minded,disrespectful,c.u.n.t!!!!!
I hat stupid little closed off sheep!!!
If the people you listen to jumped into a lava lake, would you join them???
....no? I thought not.
Anyway, good question and have a nice day!!!^_^

The only compromise that could possibly work for all concerned is a civil union . The moral majority and the Christan right wing will never stop fighting to keep gay marriage off the law books . The wording could be changed and it would work the same way .

have you ever heard the tale of a lady, a domestic dog, and a jar of peanut butter? i'm convinced that at some element everyone will favor to marry an animal and we are perfect back interior of an identical function. Lame, agreed, even if remember that there is a fetish in the marketplace for each body - and everyone prone to take it one step extra... yet to (attempt) to reply your question, i do no longer see how they could properly be powerful to face up to making polygamy approved, by and massive in a time like now at the same time as money is tight and a third revenues ought to be useful. the subsequent part of your question is, if polygamy will develop into approved, is there a limit to what percentage persons you'd be able to marry. ought to you imagine if 5000 persons gained mutually and determined they were going to all marry one one better? Sounds ridiculous, I realize, even if some center easterners have 100 different halves.

Well, innovative solution, and I am glad that you care. BUT it will not work. If you are gay (LIKE ME), then you want someone who is the same sex. A woman, pretending to be a man has no attraction to me whatsoever.
Personally, I am also NOT attracted to a man pretending to be a woman, AND I do not look lik, walk like or talk like a woman. I am a man who likes men.
Thanks for your concern.

Thanks for being supportive (I think).
But your solution presupposes that all gay men are feminine and desire a female role, and that lesbian women are masculine and desire a male role. I guess it is difficult for a heterosexual person, even a sincere and caring one, to understand that it really isn't like that. Transgendered persons may come closer to those feelings, but most gay men I know are MEN and they know they are MEN, they just love men! I think the situation for lesbians is the same. They don't want to be men, they are women, know they are women, like being women, but the love other women. So, with all good intentions, your solution sucks.
Thanks for trying.

No solution. It's abnormal and immoral...that's why it's illegal. Majority rules. You lose.
