how many classic stories should I read as a preparation for the SAT writing and critical reading parts?

I'm reading Emma for jane austen now, should I read something else when I finish it?

This portion of the SAT tests your critical thinking skills. Read anything that challanges you to think about what the author wants you to take away from the story. Reading for pleasure is the best way to prepare for this exam. Mysteries are good because they force you to apply critical thinking skills and make logical connections.
