i am 12 rite now and i started wearing it a bit last year, now i wear it every day. my parents think i am too young, but i like it. i wore makeup and went to the beach and almost everyone thought i was 15.

I started wearing makeup when I was around 13. Your parents probably don't like it though b/c of exactly what you said...it makes you look older. Parents don't like admitting that their little girl is growing up. You'll understand when you have kids. Just work with them and make sure you are wearing your makeup in a way that is complimenting to you, so hopefully they'll continue to let you wear it.

The most important thing I started to do at your age is NOT using make-up, but using a daycream. Starting with that now, will really pay off during the years.
If you decide to use make-up, be disciplined enough to always take it of in the evening. Your skin is now in a hormonal phase where it can easily become acné-prone and using make-up + bad cleansing habits can only make that worse.
Also, save up for quality products if you think about using foundation. Think Clinique or Shiseido.
And just 1 other tip, don't use red lipstick, it really looks whorish on women under 20.

I started when I was about 15 or 16. No doubt, make up CAN make you look older. When you get older, you'll wish you looked younger. So enjoy those youthful looks.
Plus, your skin now is still really good so don't clog up your pores with all that make up. But if you really want to put on makeup, keep it to e minimal. Don't use foundations that can clog up the pores. Instead you can dust on some loose powder. Or better still, not use foundation at all.

between 12-16.. i started wearing makeup when i was 12 i think... and now i wear ir everyday and have been for about 2 years im 15 now... i like makeup too lol i cant go without it

Im 12 and i started wearing make~up when i was 11. Not a lot! Just simple eye shadow and eye liner and a little lip gloss! Its just the right touch, just nice and simple..............Now that im 12 i use foundation but not to much. If you start to wear makeup you should have an adult check to make sure it looks good the first couple times.

At 12 years old every girl wants to wear make up, it's normal, but when you'll think about it in a few years you'll find it useless...try to wear light make up because believe me, to look older than you are isn't good, it can create some problems...and don't worry, your parents will get used to it...good luck and be careful
