I think they lace circular saws and such with diamond dust, making them strong enough to cut a lot of stuff.

in olden days diamonds are used for a lights( they falsh the light on the diamond so that it will be sparkeled with different colours) in the palaces

sawing things (like rock, tile, and other very hard things) dimands are sought after for not only their beauty, but also their strength, so, some specialized sawblades and drill bits have dimonds, and lets not forget the ol' phonograph needle.

ok... you know the "record players" i believe the thing
called the Cartridges (tip of the neddle) is used for read the record...
We now use lasers to read CD's ,,,, hopefully that helps
