Given you sometimes get these nutcase leaders who srew it all up but isnt the fundamentals of it alot better then the **** going on in this country? Im probobly a little biased since im middle lower class but still the whole system just sounds like everyone would benifit from it if it was carried out right, everyone gets the same cut, no ones got more then any other, violenece due to jelousy, resentment, lack of fund would probly cease or at least drop heavily, it doesnt seem as bad as what people make it out to be, but what do you think?

On paper, it is a wonderful idea. It is based upon humanitarian concerns and a true yearning for equality. You read Marx, and you come away inspired. However, once people get involved, human fallibility gets involved too. The Soviet Union died, because Stalin's insecurities weakened it, as well as others who followed. Many governments can look good on paper. American Democracy sounds nice in a civics class, reading about the Constitution and the Bill of Rights, but it too has fallen to human weakness. Corporate lobby (oil companies, pharmaceutical companies, tobacco companies, etc) have supplanted personal representation with monetary representation. Presidents come from the class of the privileged few.

In fact, in the end, there is only one form of government on the planet. Call it what you will, but the ruling governor is oligarchy. The wealthy work to maintain their wealth, and the people, like worker bees, perpetuate the fallacy.

I appreciate your honesty and your question.
It all boils down (for me) to one point. Lets say that I am a dedicated, hard working individual (I am). You are a lazy feller (I doubt you are). Why should you get to have the same pay as me? Why should the top have to give their wealth to bottom? If we were to become a communist society I would be obligated to work less so that we could both do the minimum and get paid the same. I would be obligated because I am driven by my success. If there is no benefit I would not have the ambition that I have.
Capitalism is a beautiful thing. In America, you as a lower middle class citizen (which is not a bad place to be) have the same chance and opportunity to grow, learn, expand, and benefit from the system we live in. It also is a system that encourages innovation and growth.
I have found that communism is best when applied to a family, group of people, or a small community (commune). Even Communal living is not very successful unless the right personality types live within.

It has been tried a million times and it fails miserably. Even China has moved away from it, the last bastion of communism. Read a few books about the USSR and Cuba and China fifty years ago then see if you want to live under that system.

Do you really want to live in a system where no matter how hard you work you will get the same small amount of crap as the lazy guy next door?

The bad part pretty much is reality. People get greedy, corrupt the system to further their own agenda, and then other people get screwed over. Also, there's the question of how people like doctors (who have to spend 12 years of their lives in school) get compensated for their hard work, instead of getting the same life as someone who didn't go to school or work hard at all. On paper, it's still a beautiful idea, but the real world isn't too kind to communism.

yes there is stuff going on in this country but it doesnt even compare to whats going on in the rest of the world. face it there isnt even a real communistic system functioning today. in theory is an awesome idea and would work if all human beings agreed on everything and were perfect. there are evils in every system. I would say that we wouldnt have some of the technological advances of today if not for a competitive market. but anyway these are just my ramblings. i chuckle when mankind thinks they can ever create a utopia or be perfect without Christ, but hey thats my bias.

In theory, communism is the "perfect" form of government. Unfortunately, when human beings get involved, nothing is perfect. The "plan" becomes distorted and skewed, and a system that is supposed to insure equality for all turns into the "haves" against the "have-nots", where the "have nots" do not have any rights at all, and the "haves" run all over them.

Communism under-mind to some extent the biblical prescription that Man will eat from the sweat of his labor. In a natural environment, some men are stronger than others, some love to work harder than others and some do not like working at all, how will you consider these natural variations in distributing gains. A quick answer is to implement force labour, but how about human rights......To me i think any system that pevents the expression of pesonal traits and that prevent men from eating from the sweat of their labour cannot survive. Think about the problem arising in islamic nations where men are forced to live against thier will.

there is nothing bad about communism. it is the propaganda of the capitalist ideologues that made several Americans anti communists. the tenets of all political ideologies are good. but they often miserably fail in taking in to consideration,an important factor that is human mind. dogmatic communists treated human beings as an economic good and in the guise of proletariat dictatorship, established their own personal dictatorship.because of that reason only after the death of those dictators, the so called socialist systems failed.eg Russia after the death of Stalin, china after Mao, Slovakia after Tito.neo Freudians like Erich Fromm tried to give Marxism a human face and they blended Marxism and Freudians, which i feel the better face of Marxism.as Marx said Marxism is not dogmatism. communism is dead and it is appearing in the form of socialism.eg Venezuela, Brazil and other Latin American countries.in srilanka, the janatha vimukti perumuna, once an ultra leftist party caused for 2 insurgencies has changed and became nationalist force and supporter of the government. in Nepal, the Maoists shunned the path of violence and supporting parliamentary path of democracy

Oh yeah... you have it soooo bad. Communism works great in theory...but theories don't run countries, people do. Every system system is corrupted by the desires and greed of the people that run them. Democracy is the best system to exist under even under those terms. At least you can voice your opinion. And don't give me any crap about NO I CAN'T...NOT ANYMORE! When people are being dragged out of their houses and shot on their front lawns.. then you can say that. Get some perspective.

Communism is an oppressive for of government. The people are kept as "slave labor" and poor. The notion that everyone is equal is a crock - the leaders of Communist Countries always seem to live like Royalty while their people live in fear and poverty! Just look at China and Cuba - the majority of their people have no home and live in constant fear!
