i think this is horrible. my mom is always complaining how bad white people are when nothing bad has ever happened to her by a white person. her brother my uncle crippled a white guy just for bein white...i hat emy racist family it drives me nuts...i just get confused why whites are always made out to be so bad and blacks arent...it drives me nuts it seems like that just creates more racism do you agree?

I completely agree with you. The color of a persons skin doesn't matter, it's all about the character of the person. I am white, and if my son (he's only 2 right now) was friends with kids of another color who were good kids...I wouldn't care. If they were getting him into trouble that would be a different story but not based on color but character. Currently we live in a well mixed community but we have some white neighbors that are trashy and I don't want my son around them just because they are trashy. There are good people of every color and bad people of every color as well. You just need to decide on a person without looking at the color of their skin.
You mom may worry that you would be a victim of a hate crime or just get treated badly because their are still some white supremacists just as their is still some black supremacists.
It's sad that your mom can't be a little more open, but there is still some issues with racism that she may be dealing with at work or just being out shopping. But I have found that if you can just go into a situation with an open mind and not concern yourself with being a victim of racisim, you usually won't. No matter what you are told, just remember we are all human and the same under our skin color, I am sure you already feel that way but don't lose it.
And yes racism just breeds more racism just like child molestors create more child molestors. Once we can just look at eachother as people and just people, the world will be a better place for all of us.

Yes, I do. All races are capable of racism, but because of being far louder and dominating than some others, whites are seen as the worst. True, there are many racist white people, but some, like ne, couldn't care less what color you are. Put enough make up on me and no one can tell the difference.

I'm sorry but your mom is very racist. This is sad and offers no hope of equality between the races.
We usually grow up with the attitudes passed to us by our parents and loved ones.
Please don't allow it to go another generation with you.
There is good and bad in all races.
Accept people as they are, not by their race.

man that is new to me. i don't know any racist black people. all the black folks i grew up with were cool and not racist. only white folks were the racist ones.
every time i hear of a racist i picture a white man. never a black man. i guess there are black racists out there.
hey, why not? whites have completely destroyed alot of other races and cultures for thousands of years.
