A human who strives for perfection tries not to hurt another human. Even if they hurt another, they can still strive for perfection part II.

Yes a perfect human can harm or hurt another human and not necessarily on purpose. This is very complex and people hurt each other all the time. This is the way we learn about life and lessons we have not understood. The pattern can be repeated over and over until the lesson is understood. And from different situations, different people as well as relationships. This is part of our evolution

Very cool question! I think you just asked something like the old "if a tree fell in the forest..." In order to make a perfect human, I suppose all of the "human" traits would have to be perfect. So he would be perfectly compassionate as well as logical. But then hate, anger and jealousy are also human traits, so these would also have to be perfect, in order to make a perfect human.

Here's a scenario. A group of humans (let's say the Purples) are threatening to kill another group of humans (Greens). Our perfect human has perfect compassion for the Greens (being the threatened party), and he subsequently develops perfect anger at the Purples. And since he is capable of perfect logic, he decides to protect the Greens and harm the purples.

Anyway, I love the question and it's going to be one of those things that's going to stay with me for a long time. Thanks!

If we accept the idea of a perfect human, without any weakness or frailties, then he is more capable to hurt another human being. By loving him, one has that possibility of creating rift and conflict.
But since there has been no records in history of a perfect human (Hitler was more of an idealist who was looking for the perfect race), we can rest assure that this question will not be put into reality.

interesting question, first of all let me say i personally dont think there is such a thing as the "perfect" human. if you look back in history and even the events that are unfolding in the world today, its very clear that the human race are bent on killing each other. i have often wondered if god (as per my belief) created the human race and gave us rules to live by as a joke, considering all we want to do is make others believe what we believe and if they dont then we kill them for being wrong.

i think the human race will eventully wipe itself out and the "creator" of life may try again but this time avoid the mistakes of the world today.

i hope i dont sound like a "god" crazy nutjob because im not :)

I wouldn't know, but you couldn't say either way. I mean, who ever said that perfection didn't inlcude pain and violence? We obviously prefer other wise, you know, to be happy and pain free, yet we're not perfect, actually we're far from it, so if we're not perfect who would say perfection (which we don't experience) contains only happy feelings and thoughts? Perfection's a measurement we created as an attrubute to everything we cannot achieve but would gladly have. Yet we not all want the same thing from EACH thing, our thoughts and needs are subjective to the individual, so how can something be perfect in more then one way, is that possible? If not, is perfection even possible?

To improve is to change, to be perfect is to change often- Winston Churchill. So perfection is not absolute by this definition.
Secondly, a human can hurt another human to stop him from indulging in unlawful activities. Your question is as old as mankind - we are still groping for answer. Someone said it nicely in this forum, "watch the news."

Yes, as a philisophical hypothisis. A perfect human would be fully tuned in to his instincts, if threatened in a way that said perfect humans flight or fight instinct
said hey you can't run so you have to fight.

But personally I believe a perfect human is an enlightened one
and would transcends to a higher consciousness. This is super rare.

There is no such thing as a perfect human.
There are, however, humans who would not intentionally inflict harm on another human or even another living creature.
