I'm a 4th or 5th generation California. I say dude and cool a lot. I also have Oakie slang from my family and I know a couple of silly language like Pig Latin and Double Talk that I use often with my mom and sister. It's great.

I love acronyms, and everyone around me has adopted my way of speaking with them. Here are a few of my faves:
TMOL- Take My Own Life, said as an exaggeration instead of kill myself. Ex: "that test was so hard, it makes me want to TMOL."
HFBO: Hot For Being Old
STFU- Shut the F**K up
GTFO- Get the F**K out Ex: I just want to get in there, get the food, then GTFO.
