I thought it was a beautiful love story. It shows just how complicated love can really be. A lot of straight people face equally difficult situations when they just can't be with the one they love.

The truth for me is... I thought the movie was slow. Everyone talks about how it was so monumental, and such a great move for the gay community and other praise... but the fact is, parts of it were slow and boring. Like the part where he is at the parent's house. I was like when will it be over. And whenever I say this to people, I want to clarify that it's NOT an issue with the gay, it's just slow and boring!
But I am glad I saw it or else I would always wonder!

I think it's a love story.
And it shows how it's difficult to assume your sexuality and your feelings in some part of the world, even in some "civilized" country.

it's a story that should have been called a true story because so many married men (white men) have been known to sleep around with other guys.

i dont think that the sexuality of the characters mattered, its was the story of two people, to me it wasn't significant that they were gay...it was pretty good...
