It will usually state as part of the conditions of your visa whether you can work or not. A 3 month tourist visa is likely to prohibit working. You may be able to apply for a work permit during your stay. But with you having a tourist visa rather than a working visa you may face difficulty.

You can work here as long as it is a "cash in hand" deal between you and the employer. ... you'd have no rights as an employee of course so it would be menial work. But many people do this- working in bars, burger joints etc.
Listen you can work here without visa, passport, EU nationality or ANYTHING! ... thousands of muslims do this.
Why not forget the work and just enjoy the holiday? I'm guessing you might be looking for something a bit more permanent in the long term. If you are an EU citizen you will be able to work no problem.

no longer not often. they're going to properly this second ask your self what pastime you're as a lot as and the position is your money coming from once you obviously haven't any pastime or you need to no longer be travelling like this. once you're denied get entry to on Visa Waiver application, you've gotten to stay with for visas for each thing -- and likely be denied considering that your record is flagged. once denied with suggestions from one united states of america, maximum others will immediately deny you too. do not even imagine about returning to uk for a minimum of yet another 6 months. And besides the reality that pastime, con, mess round, besides the reality that you're as a lot as, knock it off or you're in deep doo-doo.

Possibly. If you are a commonwealth citizen you may qualify for the "Working Holidaymaker" scheme. As far as I know if you're not a commonwealth citizen you cannot work on a tourist visa, but check the http://www.ukvisas.gov.uk website or phone your UK embassy/consulate.

You need a work permit. Any employer employing someone without a National Insurance number will be in deep doggy-do when HM Revenue & Customs (Inland Revenue) do their once in a lifetime PAYE Employers' Compliance visit.
