I was wanting to know which major is better as far as jobs open in the future. Someone told me not to get into computers because jobs will be outsourced. I was wondering is Information Systems Technology or Comp Sci a better major? I am having a hard time choosing between business and computers because of these facts (outsourcing). Can someone tell me if this is true and which major is better?

Go for computer science. There are areas you can specialize in with comp sci that cannot be outsourced because of their level of complexity. It's a hard major, but definitely worth it.

First, do what you ENJOY! Then you will find work doing that. My husband is a Computer Technician and has been outsourced and still has low pay after 25 years of working. The software end would be better, like being a programmer you are paid well.

Buisness....Specifically accounting.

The internet and computer bubble popped back in the 90's.

Buinsess majors will always be needed, but it'll always be competitive....But it won't be as bad as a career in computers.

Comp sci or engineering majors arn't needed...Just look at major tech companies like Lucent fall down the drain....And it's not due to outsourcing. You'd learn about it in your buisness classes, lol.

Why cant you be the person they outsource to?

Talk to the university advisors about career opportunities.

If you are from Australia then go to graduate careers dot com and look at what disciplines businesses take ppl from.
