I guess now there can't be any alternatives except for people to be vigilant. To me, most of the present set of politicians that we have now are all "SELFISH".. they work for the attainment of self interests.
I say in the next election, we should all be wise and vigilant... not to put into power those whom we've proven not working at all as they're supposed to, such as those who are out there in the streets instead of crafting legislations that can be put into action right away so that at least the suferings of the poor people may be alleviated. Those who keep bickering/complaining instead of doing their jobs...
Instead of complaining here and there, I think if all politicians, whether pro or anti administration were doing their jobs, more people would be in a better situation by now.

yes. another politician will be an alternative. still there are many politicians working for the peace, eraticating powerty, etc. without politics we can not live because the politic is in our lifehood. finding a best politician is the best knowledge and your talent

The alternative is we select more educated people. Those include people who realise that the plural of politician is politicians, NOT with an apostrophe "s".

YES there certainly is! What we need to do is have a sort of revolution and all turn communist or socialist. That is the best alternative. A non-violent revolution though - Ghandi style, not Marx style.
