The answer to that question will define the very origin of sin which centers around jealousy, hatrate and sellfishness. But i also strongly believe that backstabbers are people without confidence or capabilities, they know they will loose even before the game starts so they try to eliminate potential winners. So backstabbers are many because humans are too ambitious but do not want to pay the price to obtain their dreams.

Stop being angry at the backstabbers and start getting angry at the big mouth that told you!
People never repeat things correctly nor do they know the exact feelings behind the comments, so they are the ones creating all the problems!
EVERYBODY needs to vent about things in their life, that's how they cope - so it's the thoughtless people that repeat it that need a good kick up the ****!

i dont know. why dont u ask that stupid fat b*tch that i used to be friends with. i hate her and will never socialize with her again. i know she is dying without me to talk to. i can survive with out her. i would have been better off without her in the first place. she stabbed the back of me and her other friend. then she calls that friend a backstabber for hanging with me. now to mention it, she isn't only a back stabber but a hypocrite, and a fat a*s b*tch too.

Not why are there so many, but why are they in your life? Sounds like you just got stabbed. There are a lot of non back stabbing people. I believe people attract certain people to them, for what ever reason, you need to find out. Are you too trusting? Maybe you trust them too soon, like before you know them? Just a guess.

That's a really good question. Maybe it orginated from my ancestors because my family is the King of it all. It's a sad world, and i have discovered that your family is usually one of the first people who will do this to you too.

Chicks backstab, guys are typically straight forward in their answers and approach and when they are told 'no' chicks figure it's just a hidden yes.
btw, girls will backstab each other over/for anything.
