Like any good environmentalist, I run my washer late at night. So I put on a hot wash and went to bed. In the morning the laundry and all surrounding areas were completely flooded. I live alone so I don't overuse my top loading machine and I'm very careful not to overload it.

It costs $115 just to have a repair person look at it and heaven knows how much to fix it. Anyone had a similar experience and what did you do?

Just guessing but I'll bet one of your hoses is pinched or plugged up, like the drain hose. Check it out. Or plugged up inside. Shouldn't be to hard to figure out.

Check your water outlet. It could be clogged by dirt or some cloth, that trap the water in your washer

could be several things. check the drain hose. or a loose or broken hose on the pump. or a clogged drain. or even a plugged vent pipe on your roof.

where does it drain to? it could be a simple clog, but unless you know your way around plumbing and such i would spend the money to have it done right.

Probably put too much soap in or broke a pipe.
