About 2 weeks ago here in my state, we had a 5 year old chlid go missing. A week later they found her in a neighbors basement, dead and assaulted. I think that sex offenders should be chemically sterilized, put to death, or put away FOREVER!! What is everyones oppion?

I just found out that there is a sex offender just around the corner from my house...I would like very much to see a big neon sign in his yard declaring his sex offender status. But it is not allowed in my state to harrass or otherwise label a sex offender in a public manner. Why are we a country where the offenders have more rights than the victims?!? Back in Puritan days if someone commited Adultry they had to wear a scarlett letter..I think today that if someone sexually abuses a child, they should have MOLESTER branded with a hot iron into their foreheads...Before they are sterilized, either by chemicals or some other more sharp method..

I asked a similar question not so long ago. Most people agreed that the death penalty should be applied, but some, uhm, we will call them people, thought the punishment too harsh. I wonder if they would still think that if it was their child this happened to?

I think, at the very least, the very very least, surgical castration is in order. Though this is not an act of "sex" so much as an act of control, so I am not sure it would help in all cases.

However, dead people do not molest. So, I am more inclined to the death penalty solution. For those that say the punishment is too harsh, I say, as long as we do nothing to stop evil, to protect the defenseless children, then are we not evil too? To let these predators free?

The sentences for intercourse crimes are on a case via case foundation. some crimes, like intercourse with a new child under age 10, might warrant a minimum of 15 years in reformatory if convicted. this is rather harsh. a brilliant style of individuals on the intercourse criminal checklist have been 25 and seduced via a sixteen twelve months previous, some have been 20 relationship a sixteen twelve months previous with mothers and fathers permission, some have been masturbating of their tent on the campground, others have been peeing off the area of a boat. Do those human beings deserve reformatory or death? i think of human beings ought to get knowledgeable and end letting the media feed them paranoia and propaganda so they'd get larger scores. in fact: This registry is very unconstitutional and it does not help human beings save their toddlers risk-free. It basically provides them a fake experience of protection. maximum new child molestations ensue with somebody they already be responsive to. the human beings on the checklist are unlikely to kidnap your new child. And if somebody became psychotic adequate that they wanted to kidnap a new child, being on the checklist or residing a million/2 a mile from a school will no longer avert them. The checklist basically motives undue concern and paranoia interior the widespread public. And so a strategies as being "uncurable", they are speaking approximately pedophilia. Many intercourse offenses are no longer pedophila. Why do no longer they only make a catalogue of individuals that are clinically determined as a pedophile? That way the widespread public could be extra clever knowledgeable and not so paranoid?

I know from working with juvenile offenders that most are not reformable. There are studies occurring with that popluation right now that show that over 60 percent will reoffend within 5 years. The really creepy thing is the can blend in easily and can "appear" normal, which makes them much more dangerous. Many are really on the psycho side, most are prior victims unfortunately. Many but not all boys who are raped go on to become sex offenders.

putting them to death would be too easy of an out for them. chemical sterilization is a good idea then put them away forever. have heard that child abuse inmates get the absolute worst treatment by their fellow inmates. i also like what some areas are doing by requiring that a sex offender have a sign posted in their yard declaring what and who they are. you would be surprised at the people that might be in your neighborhood that are on internet sites that list sex offenders.

Scum like that doesn't deserve to live...
Putting them away for life is just a complete waste of money. Why should they receive free meals, clothing and lodging at taxpayers expense?
