well first off don't advertise your great need to have a girlfriend. Girls hate guys who are desperate. Be suave, confident (not arrogant), kind, and above all else yourself. They say that you find love when you are not looking, and never find it when you are. Stop going out with mentality of wanting to find a girlfriend and go out wanting to make friends, male or female. Eventually you will find a girl who is exactly what you are looking for, one who likes you for you. Usually, when you least expect it this happens, so just go out and have fun meeting people. The rest will take care of itself.
