I've been friends with this guy online only for about 8 months. We used to talk for hours every night. Hours and hours and hours. And played games via internet together. Told each other secrets, deep talks, etc.
The past 2 months he has pullled waaaay back. He ignores my messages even though he's online, his messages are shorter, he just doesn't want to talk to me much at all and when he does, I always feel like he's just dreading it and can't wait to say goodbye.
So the only thing different between now and when we used to be close that I can think of is that now I have a boyfriend. He talks to a lot of girls online the same as he did with me so I can't imagine it's jealousy. I miss him but can't force things back the way they were. What should I do, if anything?

cause he blew it :) he's an ***, and i'm guessing he always told you that and you never believed it before, but alas, he was right as always ;)

some of the people who answered were half right, but i knew we were never together or anything even close to that, its just that when i found out you were dating nick i assumed that things were going to change pretty drastically at some point so, i might as well get it over with...yes its immature, but

if he's any kind of man at all, he'll apologize for being a child for the past month or so and suck it up and even if you neverget back to being friends they way you were, he'll at least do his best to be there for you when you need him

You are right in thinking that he has withdrawn because you now have a boyfriend. And naturally he is jealous. I'm surprised that you dismiss that possibility out of hand. The fact that he talks to other girls online doesn't make the time you two spent together any less intimate. Besides, if you used to talk for hours every night, I can't see that leaving him much time for other girls, online or otherwise.
In short, he has withdrawn because he is hurt. Irrational or not, that is how he feels. Things will never again be the way they were between you. Let him go and move on, Allie.

I'm really sorry to hear that! Maybe, the next time you finally get the chance to talk with your friend, try bringing all of this up to this person and asking if they're mad with you and if so why and ask if there is something you can do to get the good times back again. If that doesn't work, then maybe you should just break off your online freindship with him and tell him why, i mean if he can bring himself to do this to you and not think anything of it then you don't need him anyway. I mean, what kind of friend does that to his friend anyway? Especially since you haven't done anything wrong to deserve it.
If he doesn't care that you're breaking off your friendship with him then that proves that he doesn't care about your feelings at all and that you should move on and find yourself a new friend.
then block his e-mail address so he can't send any more e-mails or try to harrass you.
I wish i could offer more than this and that i could help you more.
Please have a nice day.

Maybe he thought you guys have something special going on? Why dont you try talking to him and ask him whats wrong then work from there. He might feel a little awkward but try to make him open up...Good Luck

Because you have a BF now.

Why is it that every chick claims to have a "boyfriend".

Are women so lonely that they cant hold off for a year or two and relax?

I have two guy friends who have been single for a couple months now.. both of their ex's already have "boyfriend".

Geez.
