Stanford is ranked higher than UC Berkeley. Check out the U.S. News and World Report college issue. Part of it is online.

You can add your own criteria to their rankings. You might want to see which school has more courses that interest you, which one is stronger in your major, which one you can afford and which one offers better job placement upon graduation. None of these criteria are included in the U.S. News Ranking.
