I have been reading my Thoreau and was wondering if there are any modern movements, groups, or authors who adhere to a transcendental philosophy.

The problem you're going to run into is that a 'transcendantalist organization' is almost an oxymoron. As you probably already know from your reading, many transcendantalists tended to dislike many of the trappings of societies, governments, and organizations, preferring instead many of the experiential sensations that could be rendered by oneself. And, like many philsophies, there are some strains of it scattered all over the place, though I'm hard-pressed to come up with a modern author that might be rightfully called by the term.

The best I can suggest is following some of the links below for other similar works. They're not going to be up-to-the-minute, but I suspect a true transcendentalist would tell you that such a thing is unnecessary anyway. ( :

Hi there,

Not sure what that means. There is a christian word, I think? in Scripture, but not sure. Is that like changing something?

I'm a christian and practice the art of meditation.
