Nightmare on Elm Street part 3. It's not scary now, but I first saw it when I was 8 and it was the first scary movie I'd seen. The scariest part was when the clay model that the sleepwalking character (can't think of his name) made, came to life as Freddy Kruger and jumped off the wall and then grew into Freddy at the foot of the bed. I was scared of that for the next year of my life!

Bhoot.......................
This movie was really scary.

No candles, no lady in white, no owls howling; yet this horror film has its moments of scare. Ram Gopal Varma has again proved that he is a genius. He has given equal importance to the smallest of the detail. Be it the eerie doorbell or the watchman's chair, everything leaves a massive impact on the audience.

Vishal (Ajay Devgan) and Swati (Urmila) rent a flat on the twelfth floor on an apartment. The flat on the twelfth floor has a dark past. The previous occupant of this flat died a mysterious death. Nevertheless this fact does not deter Vishal. Everything is fine until Swati starts visualizing the dead. Doctors claim it to be a psychological disorder. As if to add momentum to all these happenings the watchman dies mysteriously

Honestly, I think that the Japanese version of THE GRUDGE, directed by Takashi Shimizu is the SCARIEST EVER!!! This version is called Ju-On (a Japanese spirit of vengeance. There is this scene where a woman who was huddled in fear at the foot of the steps watching as The Crawler (a woman spirit who crawled like a spider, making that awful 'creeeeak...creeeeak...creeeak' kind of noise like something badly in need of more oil) crawls down the staircase toward her. Watch it for yourselves and enjoy!!!

I'm usually not one for scary movies, most seem the same to me. But I have to say that my favorite and only one to really scare me is The Shinning. The original, of course. It's just all-over freaky, from the increasingly insane father to the dead twins in the hallway.

The Shining. All of it is pretty creepy, but those twins...brrrr. I'd say two words sum it up: "Here's Johnny!" Do I have that quote right?
