People should always have positive attitude in life rather than arousing others to quarrel with others particularly on useless issues. Stop the bickerings and unite for progress.

No ... I think that God has put it in us, this last generation before His Son's Imminent Return the the earth, to know and feel when there is an increasing presence of the Devil in the earth.
And I think that basically, anyone with the least spiritual awareness at all is quite aware that things have not been good now for quite some decades.
We all know and can see that they are getting worse!!
Laws around the earth are becoming more and more lenient, and the doctrine prached by our teachers and academics is to favour the criminal and "the Base of the community".
Why, we are even considering legalizing Homosexual Marriages now!!!
Yet we know that the great Creator destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah for just such terrible behaviour!!!
So why are we not a lot more forthright and commanding of our governments in putting an absolute end in our various Constitutions to such homosexual possibilities.
Feminism has destroyed the family - like at no other time in history, perhaps, and we are now moving to Homosexuality to ensure that things get worse.
We are weakening and weakening in our individual personal moral strengths throughout the world, and part of Islam wants to drive us out of existence!
All societies are experiencing moral and cultural collapse today - even isolated 'island cultures'!
And, as prophesied of the Last Days Biblically, "the base rule" today, and children shall rail against the ancient and against their parents, etc.
I see little that can be considered an upturn in values, in families and in general spiritual awareness.
WHY WOULD WE VIEW THIS ALL AS POSITIVE?
I THINK WE KNOW THE END IS APPROACHING IN ACCELERATED TIME - NOT JUST LINEARLY!!!

I think it's more like being realistic. I think you can feel better personally, stay positive in personal faith, if that's what someone believes. But you have to admit the overall state of planet earth is in bad shape, and that's putting it mildly. Most people nowadays just ignore the big picture, because there's really nothing you can do about it. Others rant, and they're usually avoided like the plague. The people who run our instutitions, well, they just lie.

There is not a lot of good news on TV which may have something to do with it. Bush has destroyed America which was due anyway but I suppose if you are an American it would be rather depressing. Then there is the climate. I mean.... it is all very negative in its effect on people I imagine.
Personally I am happy..... but then, I live in Australia.

Well, pessimism usually stems from what happens around us - the way we perceive things. If you want people in general to be optimistic and productive, you must first start by helping those close around you, and then tell them to help others, etc etc. It makes a big chain of events which would then cause society to be a little more positive.
Then again, it's always good to see the optimist within the crowd. Or some are too busy to be both.

No.
I'm cautiously optimistic.
However, "faith" and "hope" are luxuries that i do not feel i can afford. I feel that seeing reality as it is, is far more important than feeling good about it. And, as far as i can tell, i cannot remain hopeful or faith filled and observe reality clearly at the same time. Life just isn't that merry; it would be dishonest to have faith in a good future.

Some people who are "negative" because maybe of their environment, maybe its in their genes, or maybe somewhere in their history/expercience make them to be "negative or pessimist", or some sort of defense mechanism for their previous failures and others are "negative" cause of mere ignorance.
And, I do have "faith and hope" for my future and earth's future... that's only me and I can't answer for everybody else ^_^

absolutely no. it's very sad and i wish it weren't so but in all seriousness look at the world, EVERYTHING is about money these days, even if you're against it to survive you have to realize that and take part, once it gets to levels like government and multi-billion dollar business, they will do anything, war, ruin the environment, make people suffer, just to make a quick buck. this is not to mention that basically the mindsets of people worldwide are going to s**t.....
