I am not even in my mid 20's yet and I am already tired of men approching me in the most inappropriate moments! Why can't they take the hint that the work place or the street is not the place to socialize with me? Do others have this problem?

You are anti-social in such places as the public street? COME ON! I don't know the details, but that's enough to make me wonder. If you're being talked to by a guy that doesn't necesarily mean he's hitting on you. In some cases, maybe. But typically, it means he has found something that he likes about you. That may develop into a friendship or whatever. Who knows. In the workplace I can understand. But if you are so private, and never talk to people in public places, you'll have a more sad existence than mine.

Because it is still the social standard for men to initiate conversation and relationships. If you'd care to announce to the world that men and women are switching roles, then we will gladly step back and wait for you to approach us during inappropriate moments.

We men don't understand "no" for the same krazy reason that women don't understand "in a hurry". We just don't.
