As long as there's no sex and the parents don't object, a 109-year-old can date a 9-year-old legally.

It isn't illegal for a 16 year old to date a 13 year old, and it isn't illegal for an 18 year old to date a 15 year old, given that they don't engage in sexual activities until both of them are of legal age. Of course, I recommend checking up on what the law is in your state, because the age of consent varies from state to state.

How do you define dating? if it stand for just meeting up regularly, watching movies and going out together .. it is absolutely harmless. This means you two are sharing a nice healthy friendship .. which is really good.

Till you do not indulge in sexual acts, no law can detain you.
Ofcourse, overdoing anything is bad. Thus concentrate on your studies and other aspects of your young life. Do not get overtly involved in any relationship till you are old enough to understand all these sensitive bondings !!

The guy who said ''dating isn't against the law'' is wrong. There is a thing called statutory rape. There doesn't have to be any sex involved for this boy to get convicted of that.

The laws change from state to state, so you'll need to check into this issue a little bit more.

And it being against the law may not be your only worry... your dad is going to kick this guys butt for messing w/ his little girl.

good luck

it is not a criminal offense in the two circumstances as long as intercourse isn't in contact. whilst the age is a pair of years off there is not any situation. Now if a 30 twelve months previous became kissing and relationship a sixteen twelve months previous than that should be seen irrelevant.

If you aren't having sex, it isn't against the law. There is no legal definition of dating, just sex.

Yes, it's illegal. Don't do it. If it's against the law, don't assume the prosecutor/officer will just say "ok, don't do it again."

You will be charged! There are many fools in prison for this. Don't play around...read up on the law so you don't accidentally break it. It's unfortunate, our legal system doesn't care.

Sorry, I do not think a 13 year old should be dating anyone at any age. You have the rest of your life to have adult headaches. Enjoy being a kid...you will never have this opportunity again. TRUST ME.
