Necessarily, yes. Hope by definition requires the possibility of happiness/non-disappointment, but as such, it also requires the possibility of disappointment due to a lack of certainty. If the possibility of happiness/non-disappointment was a certainty (or near certainty), then hope connotes the wrond idea (i.e. there is very little need to waste time hoping the sun will come out tomorrow).
You are correct, which means that we must be careful considering those things in which we place our hope. For example, it would be foolish for me to truly hope that I would be given one million dollars tomorrow morning, as disappointment would almost certainly follow, whereas it is not so foolish to hope that my boss is pleased with my work when I have put significant effort into it, as there is a very good chance that s/he is.

Not necessarily. You have to come short to be disappointed. IF your hopes always come true than you will never be disappointed.

definitely not, it depends on the situation, what you're hoping for and the likelihood of it working out for you. if having hope meant that it would always end in disappointment, people wouldn't bother having hope to begin with.

absolutely, and dissapointment is necessary for without it we would have no cause to succeed given that failure brings no unpleasant consequences
