no i know two people in the same area that are named that and they are both nice and all its not cheessy same as someone naming their baby after a model or a movie star who cares what people think its your baby right go for it !

Well, as you know, the first image they'll have is of the Barbie Doll.

So, unless you don't mind that stereotype, then go for it.

But, myself, I'd never do that, because of the constant correlation.

I could see a teen Mom doing this. I was at the doctor's office, shortly after I had my daughter for one of her check-ups, and there was a teen Mom there with her baby girl. She named her girl "Pretty." No joke!!

name your baby what you like but be careful of other kids teasing them, we had a girl named Louise in school and in India that is not a common name - one of the teachers used to call her 'lousy', people made her life miserable

yes! haha bad name choice :) just my opinion...and if the person wants their kid to be happy in school, and not get teased, i'd reccomend NOT naming the kid Barbie :)

it's a nice name but i wouldn't name my daughter Barie, Barabra i would, and call her Barbie.
