I heard with my own ears tonight on the Charlie Rose show, the undersecretary of political affairs in the US state department, Nicholas Burns, state two things:
1. They will be asking the UN for international troops(which means us too) to be sent to South Lebanon.
2. They expect the Lebanese military to fight against Hezbollah.
So I ask a question about this in a question here and what did the absolutely moronic republicans reply, ".. to get my facts straight... and I was being liberal... "
LOL I truly feel sorry for republicans. They seem to be living in a some make-believe fantasy world.

Just so anyone knows... I am only reiterating what I heard right out of the mouth of a Bush administrations cronies mouth... Charlie ask him if that included USA troops and he said, yes.
You can TRY to shoot the messager but only shows how you are unwilling to accept the message.

I think they aren't brainless, but use their brains the wrong way. You now, invade a country, destroy its infrastructure, kill innocent people. That sort of thing.
I would say they are detached from reality. Hence the stupid behaviour.

They live in a world all their own. Everything is either the fault of the liberal media or Bill Clinton. Yes there will be U.S. troops in Lebanon. We will have American troops in the three most unstable and violent places on earth: Lebanon, Afghanistan and Iraq. I served in the Marine Corps. My son is nine. I do not want him serving in our dirty little wars. Life is too precious. We have an administration that is absolutely clueless. Condi Rice could not negotiate her way through a wet paper bag.

They will be asking for international troops but we will not be joining them.
You liberals are living in the fantasy world. We were attacked you idiot.
Liberals are pansies who want "world peace" and are too stupid to realize that the bully nations of this world only respect one thing - strength. They will attack if they perceive a weakness so we can't be weak.
I hate war and so do all Republicans. I wish we could be done with all this but the sooner we WIN the sooner we will bring our troops home.
God Bless America and I too hope for peace some day soon.

Actually, the International Force being considered to augment the Lebanese Army would be more than likely French and not American. Just so you know. And no American troops in S. Lebanon.

It seems that the Israeli's want the international community (i.e. USA) to pay for their security.USA will once again be asked to clear up Israel's mess (of its own doing).
More GI's coming home in body bags in future from yet another land that they cared little about and understood even less.
Republican Motto: if it moves, shoot it, it must be a Liberal (or a commy/fascist/Muslim.

Certainly UN, but just say US, Australia, UK and think about an attack on the oil rich Syria. It is only a few miles from South Lebanon to Damascus.

The Bush administration believes it is our god given duty to protect the world from anyone who God has told them to attack. But God and the president don't care about genocide in the Sudan since God speaks to our "wonderful President" and hundreds of thousand women and children have been killed so why not sent the UN to the Sudan?

Do you want the war between Hezzbolah and Israel to stop or continue? If you want it too stop there is going to need to be someone standing between them. As usual its us; or we could just go on and let Israel finish them - I actually prefer that option.
