My friend and I were discussing this while waiting in an extremely boring line for movie tix (fandango wasn't working =P), and we couldn't come up with an answer.
I'm not planning on naming any kid I might have something offensive, it was just a random questioin I couldn't find an answer to, so pleease don't freak out!!

LMAO! yeah, i'm totally naming my kid asscracker. that's amazing. i'm sure it's legal, i don't think anyone in the government ever sat down and discussed that issue, lol. what would they do, go to your house and break the door down and arrest you? "YOU'RE UNDER ARREST FOR INDECENT NAMING!"

It may or may not be against the law, but you would have to either hate your child, or want them to grow up as the biggest baddest toughest kid in the world. Ever hear the song A Boy Named Sue by Johnny Cash?

It depends on where you are. There's no law on the national level of the US against it, but some states and municipalities do have laws against it. Also, there are other countries where there are laws about what you can name your kid.

I worked with this freak who wanted to name his kid Satan, and the baby was born in a Catholic Hospital, they refused to do it. Since it was a private hospital and he really wasn't that ambitious it never got done...
As far as legal I dunno, but I imagine they might call child protection services on you... I would !!!
