I am 5 months pregnant and yesterday got hit in the stomach by two tennis balls (really hard) and this is worrying me. I was feeling light fluttering movements before and have not felt any for the last two-three days. I have low placenta (and have had a small bleeding episode a month ago, but it was controlled by my doctor) and presently I am in an area where I cannot access a doctor for a few days... I am really worried about harming the baby with the hit on my tummy yesterday
Please try to keep serious answers, I am really scared here...any doctors feel free to answer!!!

as soon as you can get in and get checked out . i expierenced blunt uterine trauma to my belly while pregnant [ thanks to my ex] i ended up in preterm labor and it had to be stopped i was 30 weeks along. after all of this i didnt feel my son move much for several days and it freaked me out so they did a non stress test and everything was fine .
try drinking a glass of really cold water or such and give it a few minutes and see if you can feel your baby move . it seemed that anytime i drank or ate my kids all moved . also sit down often and relax and rub your belly this may stimulate movement .
please up date us all !!!!!
good luck

I'm not a doctor, but I agree...GO TO AN ER.

You can worry yourself into harm, too...so go get it checked.

If you're only 5 months pregnant, it's hard to say "yay" or "nay" on whether anything happened, but the ONLY way you can know is to get yourself checked out.

I will pray that things are okay, but in the event something isn't okay, it may not be just the baby's life at stake (internal bleeding, etc), so please...just go.

If you're in an area where you can't presently access your doctor... why not trying to go to the emergency room? I'm sure that that's a better option than worrying about it constantly without actual professional opinions.

Its better to go to the Er and them check and the baby is ok then you not to go and stress about it and hurt the baby. I had the same thing. Kinda. I knew i was pregnant and was having major pains in my stomach everytime i moved and with my fam history i could have had an etopic*sp* pregnancy so my mom took me and everything was ok they said it was a good thing i can instead of stressing over it. Stress is really bad on a baby.

It might be serious..... but the more u worry the more it might come true... my mom was pregnet and she got hit in the tummy and she felt kicking then none but then she visited the doctors and it was just knocked around.
but i'm kinda conserend ( ignore spelling) that u didn't feel any kicking in 2-3 dayz. there might be something wrong....
u should go check with a dr...

go to the ER and tell them what you just told us. not feeling the baby move for that long of a period of time is not good and i remember my doctor telling me at the least CALL her and tell her. they can do an ultrasound or at least use a doppler to hear the heartbeat. if you have a stethoscope (i had one from being in med school) you may be able to hear the baby's heartbeat in it if you can find him/her laying just right, but it may be too early so don't freak out if you can't hear it (if you have a stethoscope) good luck and call any dr, even the ER dr's in the area.

My doctor said that anytime you feel that your baby is in danger go to your hospital. It doesn't matter what other people may think this is your child. And if you do decide to go ask for an ultrasound so that you can be assured your child is alright.
You said he/she hasn't moved in 2-3 days I think that you should really see a doctor RIGHT NOW!!! DON'T DELAY PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
