i had this with my old washing machine, (no i didn't replace it because of the mold, it packed up)

i used most things, bleach, antibac, bathroom cleaner, even washing powder! the only thing that i found to work, was mr muscle shower shine! and it worked even on the rubber... use one of those sponges with the rough pad on the other side, and good old elbow grease...

now i leave the door open slightly, to let the machine dry out, and wipe down every week with the shower shine, machine is a year old but looks like new, with no mold or water marks on the door...

hope it works for u...

bleach is good, but it´s tough to get out of rubber..try wiping it before you do a load to get the loose surface mold off.. also..always leave your washing machine door open when not in use.. it will allow the rubber to dry so that mold does not appear.

The problem you are experiencing is extremely common, it is caused by two factors - the low temperatures we use to wash these days and the low amount of chemicals in today's washing powders. it is un avoidable to a certain extent.

One way to prevent it happening again is to wash towels or sheets occasionally (once a month) in a hot wash on there own.

Try using a mildew cleaner.

Front-loading washers need their door left open to dry excess moisture, otherwise mold and mildew can grow.
