Yes. Sound is a vibration of air. Provided the forest isn't in a vacuum, then it will make a sound.

This is a very old question designed to make people think about things, but it's been done over and over again.

The point is not whether it makes a sound or not but if it is there at all. If something is not being experienced by someone, there is no way we can prove its existence. Therefore we can, if we choose, be open to the possibility that things may not exist until we experience them, which would then open up a whole can of worms about reality being a construct of our subconscious and so on.
However, in order to function in the world, there are certain things we have to assume. One of these assumptions is that reality doesn't disintegrate when we turn out backs and then re-form when we face it. This would feasibly make existence impossible. So we assume that what we know remains the same. We know what effect a falling tree has from observing it. It is an assumption, but a necessary one, believe that the same results would occur if we were not observing.

yes, but it is said that it is a different sound cause trees make a different noise when humans are around. I guess it is rumoured that if a person uses a tool to knock down a tree, the wood is strong, but if the tree falls on its own the wood is brittle, this may be because the tree is dying, but, I don't know, I had this question in psychology and I did not quite get the answer.

First you need to be asking is the tree fairly there. Am i in my opinion right here. Is sound in basic terms a figment of my very own tortured international. Am I typing to an life this is authentic or in my recommendations. If each little thing is authentic and not in basic terms your recommendations growing to be it than...of direction the tree makes a sound. If each little thing is created via your recommendations than... That tree ought to become a butterfly because it falls. Or it could make a sound ...this is as much as you:) yet i like TallGreen aliens answer extra clever!

Yes it still makes a sound, but nobody hears it. A few years ago, a famous radio talk show asked this question:

If a man is in the woods, and there are not any women around, is he still wrong?!!!

The eternal question.
"Sound" is one of the senses we perceive so, yes and no, depends which way you look at it.
