Yes....Its not a very clean city to begin with. But it is interesting and full of culture.

I say they should rebuild New Orleans but clean up the city and politics.....

That's the real problem with New Orleans. Too much corruption and it reflects in the city.

Maintain the culture, but clean out the politicians.

No one ever suggested that we should abandon New York after 9/11; of course, we should rebuild New Orleans! It is one of the greatest cities, not just in the US, but in the world.

geographically, it really isnt in the best location, and rebuilding it is kind of like setting up a target. Relocating it, somehow, could be a solution, although a very expensive and complex one.

But then they could call it New New Orleans, or maybe Newer Orleans

Unfortunately the town got sunk. Unfortunately lots of other peoples property in other states was destroyed too. The people in the other states didn't pack up on a bus and move to Texas and just abandon the places they had lived. They stayed where they could while they WORKED to REBUILD their cities. They didn't just cut and run and abandon and wait for the government to fix them up.
Those who Work to help rebuild their cities will see those cities rebuilt.
The levi should however be strengthened.

Yes....New Orleans was a beautiful city with a lot of history. It's a big part of America. The people who live there and love it deserve to have it back.

no way!! global warming, that's why the artic and ant artic poles are melting rapidly which is razing our see level if we rebuild it we would be wasting billions. new Orleans is under the sea level as it is imagine in 4 years from now when the sea level it self is higher and another Katrina comes along all those people would be in trouble even if they maneged to evacuate its not like they could take there houses with them

no, it is a waste of money, if New Orleans wants to rebuild itself, then let it, at their own expense, the corp of Engineers has already said most of it was not feasible

It should be rebuilt. Why do I feel like if New Orleans was predominately White, some of the people who posted above me would be all for it?

Since a big portion of the popualtion still have not moved back, I on't think that "we" should rebuild it for them. If the population would move back and supply the man power it might be worth it.
