i have a female friend that has some kind of scales in her chest
they're like little spots that shine does anybody have an idea of what this could be?

probably a fungus from excessive sweating or oily lotion that doesn't let the skin breathe. Jock itch is very similar. If you go to a dermatologist, he/she will probably suggest lamasil and no lotions.

It sounds like an unusual rash. Is she part mermaid? just kidding. You should have her go to a doctor and get it checked out. I haven't heard of a shiny scaly rash before. Google skin irritations online and see what you get. Good luck.

I think you are looking at the skin cells and pores. They appear to be shiny because she is probably pale and the breast area has not been exposed to sun.
