Don`t be silly, I think the most charming people that I know are both female and 40 and over. You just feel stereotypically old because you turned 40. Enjoy more!

39 is worst time ever ....! once you reach 40 pouf !!! the trauma and suspanse is over .... humans men and weman are victims to publecety ....
40 is just a lamp or a tage that humanety has put for us to declare a new phase in life , it is time for your self awarnes of your body and health and time
just a reminder that you have to start allover again all your calculations
freedom from time and an exploration of new boundries you might have been to rigid to brake or cross !
congratulation ... this is the year you can break all the rules ... have a tatoo , a secret lover and all the nusty litelle things you have been depriving your self from !
it is the freedom of time ....

the day of your birthday you will just wake up and feel desapointed because actualy nothing realy has changed ... you are the same woman that you were last night that was 39 years old only !
but you can change that very easely ... have a hair cut , change color and buy new wordwrobe change your way or colors of makeup start a diet if you feel a bit or alot over wight , start doing sports or change the sport you used to do
and the best thing ever is to through a huge party invite every one you like from your chilhood , parents freinds coworkers celebreat that they were and still are a part of your life bring them gifts and recive gifts ... prepare for the party starting now think of every thing you allways wanted in a party , candels champagin food ... make it in a garden or a beach i don't know think of the perfect party in your wildest imagination that you can affored and celebreat
40 is time to celebreat you are alive sexy full of hope and determind to have another 40 years better than the last 40 you allready lived ... put a list of all the things you wished to do when you were younger and start planing to do it all
didn't you see share in her last concert ? buy the c.d and learn how you can be a stuning persson no matter how old you are
congratulaet your self for every achivemant you did in your life celebreat being alive !

I don't know- I am the same age as you. I don't think I'll be getting any cuter -those days are done. Its really hard to turn 40 - you just feel really middle aged. Even if you 're still attractive - you're not as cute as you were when you were 20. I guess we have to focus on things other than our appearance at this age. Have a happy birthday and enjoy being 40- in 15 years you'll look back and realize how young you were.

Your 40's are great, there is no reason why you can't keep yourself looking good by exercising and eating right and you will look as good as any 30 year old. As someone said, 40 is the new 30. I left my husband at 44 had a ball and am now getting married 5 years later. Kids moved out, freedom to do what I like. Enjoy your 40's.

Ha! I have three kids aged between 8 and 15 and am now 45. I haven't had time to see if I'm going downhill or not lol My 40th birthday was amazing. My husband bought me a genuine Wurlitzer juke-box, with all the lights and stuff and threw me a party in our village pub. Life is life, whatever your birth certificate says, and it's what you make it. Anyway, 40 is the new 30! Happy birthday to you! Wish I was 40... lol

No .You are at peak.With your experience and maturity you can enjoy life more.You think you are 40 YEARS YOUNG instead of "old".Age is in mind.Mental age is more important than physical or biological age.If you keep your mind young ,you are young always.For female now you can defy age,with all beauty enhancement devices you can look younger also.You say bye to the feeling of being old.Down hill start if you think you are old only.Your age and enjoyment is in your mind,in your hand.Cheer up and you are young for ever.Good Luck.

What? I can't believe you said that. Who told you that? You are at your prime. You probably have the prettiest skin in your life, you are less concerned about what other people think, you are at a wonderful age for a great career and can use your experience and know-how and your education. You will have menopause later, and then you will really feel free. Nothing like not having a period every month. Most men find women in their 40's very attractive, not that silly, girly image.

Nope. As a matter of fact, you are at an age where your maturity and experience are in demand, particularly with younger (and not so young) adults who are jaded with the shallow relationships they have been having with their relatively inexperienced peers, and who are looking for more challenging, inventive and stimulating partners.
Enjoy this last month; but don't let the dire (and false) expectations of TV and the movies get you depressed. The reality is, this can be the best time of your life.

Yeah, pretty much. The boobs start to succumb to gravity's unyielding tug; the butt starts to spread out into new territory, you get that nasty looking "cottage cheese" cellulite on your thighs; the little laugh lines around your mouth get deeper every day; the hair starts to gray; you get 'crow's feet' around your eyes... and then soon you'll have menopause to look forward to, the night sweats and hot flashes; mood swings and irritability. Your husband will start staring longingly at the twenty somethings when they jog by. Wow I paint a pretty bleak picture, don't I. Just remember: Growing old may suck but it still beats the alternative.

I am a 43 year old female...life begins at 40!! I swear to you, I've never been happier. Sure, I'd love to be younger...but I would not trade the knowledge I have for the butt of a twenty year old. I feel more beautiful now. Just take care of your skin. Exercise, eat right...you know the drill. But mostly...love yourself. Life Emerson said, " It's not where we have been, or where we are going that matters, it's what we are inside" to paraphrase....love your life...celebrate who you are....Congratulations!!

it was all down hill after you turned 18, you lose more sex appeal and chances to marry a successful doctor or celebrity everyday after you turn 18, and 40 you are pretty much not do able unless you are into guys in their mid fifties, when they start getting desperate again.
