Me and my wife are trying to have a baby she was on birth control for many years since she was 15 and she is now 21 here's the thing we knew we wanted kids so she stopped taking birth control and the doctor said your priod will not be normal for 1 yr(will take up to)well it's been well over a year and she will have a period and have another one and than will miss her period for 2 sometimes 3 months and than she will have her period again,i'm scared that she can't have kids and have heard that if you take birth control for many years it will actually cause you problems in getting pregnant what should i do???I have no medical coverage and she doesnt have any due to marrying me she lost it..my job does not cover medical..

Birth control doesn't cause any problems with later fertility. Sometimes it simply takes more than a year, and at age 21 I think it's still not unusual to have abnormal periods--that may have been the reason she started on the pill in the first place.

More importantly, why are you trying to get pregnant without any health insurance?

Calm down this is perfectly normal! I was the same way and I have 3 healthy kids to show for it! Sometimes a womens body just needs to get back on track, it took me 1 year and a half to get pregnant with my first child.I had been on birth control since I was 14. Please be patient with her it will happen ,so stop stressing and let it happen ok? God bless honey! baby dust blowing your way!!!!!!

There is a possiblity problem is from your side, where sperm is not active enough, number of sperm is not enough...

Maybe it's time you got your sperm tested as well. Don't leave it all on her...
