Technically someone who goes to a private college preperatory high school, often a boarding school. Usually there is a uniform involved, usually involving khakis and white polo shirts. Kids who go there are almost always from wealthy families, and usually very rich families. Which means they won't be in your high school. So preps usually refers to the a**holes that try to pretend like they go to a prep school. Not the the kids that actually go to a prep school are usually any nicer. Then again some of them are pretty cool and go on scholarships

People who shop at ralph laren, wear poloshirts (often paired with button down or pullover sweaters) pants just a little high, not neardy or any thing just high. Belts! preps wear belts. all that Lilly junk. I would know there are sooooooo many preps at my school (this is the slang deffinition)

prep can mean a nerd or a show off or short form for prepare but a prep wears: collared shirts, overals, nerd glasses that are black, brases, and they are not tanned and etc

people who go shopping 247. they go to places like abercombie, polo(not too often), hollister, nemands market, american eagle, can be pacsun, areopastole. it is possible for a prep to go to jeans express. a prep's who life is dating and sociel life. they talk and goof around at school. come home and do the same. and during weekends or days where they have no school they go shopping. they hang out a lot. they have a lot guys as friends or girls as friends. most would joing choir. prep girls wear skirts a lot and are very dirty girls. preps pose a lot. poser is the keyword for prep. many preps try to skateboard to be cool. they do everything to be cool. they show off a lot. they are popular at school and trie to look hot. many guy preps trie to be skater dude. preps are usually rich people from rich families with big houses and pure american and blondes can very good at prep.

prep is short for prepare , to make ready for the next step . prep or preppie refers to college kids and what are they doing? Going to school to prepare themselves for a better future.

Prep could also be used to describe someone who is conservative in dressing like the shirt under a vest look very common among guys who attend Ivy League institutions.

This is called prepatory school which is change from pre-school. Prepatory school will start at 9.00am to 3.00 pm every day monday to friday
