If you don't get a sore behind or heartburn from it.
If you want to eat spicy food go ahead it will not harm the baby just keep some pepcid on hand just incase. I ate spicy food with all 4 of my babies I had bad heartburn regardless of what I ate in the last 5 months of pregnancy.

A lot of my family say that eating spicy foods isn't good for the baby. I'm having my first child too and I've eaten spicy things up unil now and I'm 27 weeks. However I'd slacked off. Since I've been cautioned a lot I wouldn't suggest it. Better safe then sorry, right? On the other hand though you can't control what you crave. Just try to minimize the intake of the spicy food.

Unless your doctor says no. Eat whatever you feel like eating.. I always ate spicy foods. I never had heartburn problems from it or gassy problems. If you do tums and some crackers will help... and I'd advise you keep a thing of crackers on something next to your bed.. Cause you may not now.. But if you get hungry during the middle of the night they are right there and you dont have to get up and walk to the kitchen ya know.. I always had crackers next to me. along with a bottle of water. lol.

You shouldn't eat spicy foods at all, neither coffee or alcohol, during pregnancy. You have to eat healthy food, to think that your baby is eating the same food you are eating. Just think: when your baby is born, you would give him spicy foods?

It really doesnt matter, it is up to you and how comfortable your tummy is afterwards. If it is a craving, most likely it prob is, whatever your craving is usually your body telling you that you need it. Ive read this in the new books i just bought and nurses and doctors themselves. I am 15 weeks along and ive craved just potatos for a week, now im craving chicken like crazy, which would make up for the lack of protein ive been eating since i was on that potato kick the week before.

eat what you want try it and if it keeps you up all night youll know next time.Usually towards the end its hard to sleep the baby pushes on your stomach, and causes it to go up to your esophagus .
