Clearly Israel must defeat Hezbollah, my question is how many Lebonese civilians is it justified to kill in it's effort to desroy Hezbollah?

Israel can never wipe out Hezbollah. The best they can do is make an agreement in which Hezbollah disarms and centers completely on its political wing. They can not be defeated militarily becuase they have unlimited man power. Every Lebanese person and/or Hezbollah fighter that is killed is provocation for the radicalization of yet another person. Even if they were to wipe out every Hezbollah militant now serving, they would have the next enraged generation to deal with. Military action is useless against Hezbollah becuase 1) they are fighting from their homeland, 2) they are not afraid to die, 3) their children will pick up the rifle they leave behind. The only way for Israel to deal with Hezbollah is through negotiation. Becuase of this, all military action is futile and therefore all civilian deaths are unjustified.

In my opinion, none. This is BS from both sides. A ceasefire should be called immediately and negotiatoins take place. Hezbollah runs so many hospitals and does so much humanitarian work in the impoverished communities of South Lebanon, it would be a shame if it were to end.

no! Hezbollah is a major terrorist organization in the middle east connected with other anti Israel country's even if Israel maneged to kill there leaders you would just see new ones poping up and there would be other country's join this war in time . plus threes no central government in terrorist groups so its not like u can occupy there home base i think Hezbollah will lose there tanks and morsels they do have and will start doing car bombings like in Iraq

Hopefully the Lebanese army and citizens will join the fight against terrorism.As few as possible and no one knows how many that will be.It's impossible for there to be 0 collateral damage during a war.I will continue to pray for all innocent people to be removed from harms way!

yes. easily. the only reason that they aren't extinct already is that Israel is exercizing a measured response.
it is justified in exercizing that force it deems necessary to eliminate the terrorist threat to their northern border. the threat to the lebanese civilians due to this effort is the sole responsibility of hezbollah and the lebanese government.
the hez terror terps have been firing rockets indiscriminately into Israel for 18 months now and the lebanese government turned a blind eye. it's time to pay the piper...

no one who is innocent deserves to die. but if the cowards have to hide behind babies and innocent people then the casualties of war will exist. the hezbolah are like children going up to the older sibling and hitting him then running away and hiding behind someone bigger, like a whining baby. its a game to them. si they deserve whatever hell they bring upon themselves. and that is what they have done. so while the world os so concerned about israel defending itself, what about all those rockets going into israel? do you not think if the hezbolah had a nuke they would use it? then see how many innocent people will die.

Muslims will continue to fight in the name of Allah until they get all their oppressed lands back
So, until Israel destroys every true Muslim on this Earth, Israel can never destroy Hizballah

probbaly as many as it takes but in the end another crazy terrorist group just takes it's place if Hezbollah becomes emilinated.
